Blogging has been a phenomenon.  Blog is more than a journal.  People can interact with others through their blog. Here, I discuss WHY DO YOU BLOG? Blog can be used for social purpose or to promote your WAHM business.

My blogger friend Fida R. Abbott,  a published author of Enthusiasm,  shared her opinion: Why Do You Blog?  for social blogging. She is using her blog to make friends, sharing her thoughts and personal life and to showcase her work as well.

I think that kind of question is often heard by us.  Blogging is a future media and growing stronger and stronger, even marketing strategy has chosen Blogging is the potential media to spread their business messages.  Through blogging, besides we can share whatever we want and with any purposes, we also can make many friends.  If there are so many things we see the bloggers can make money from blogging, then I’m brave to mention that I can make many friends through blogging.

Making friends through blogging is not as simple as we think, especially we never meet them in person.  We have to know more about them before we declare that they are our really friends.  The one of the ingredients is a TRUST.  How can we trust someone who we never know even meet before?  The answer is we can read from the posts they have written in their blog although what they have written won’t give us the guarantee 100% to judge the real person as he/she is, but every words they wrote will describe what they thought as long as they didn’t copy and paste from other resources.

This is what I think if you want to blog for WAHM business

With social blogging, you can turn friends into your customers or your fans.  When you have a WAHM business, you also need to blog about your business. You can make your blog in semi-formal or formal tone.  However, don’t forget that the emphasis is still on your WAHM business . You need to deliver VALUES and show your EXPERTISE in your blog. People like your blog because of your personality and they learn or gain something from your blog before they buy your products or services.  Here are tips for WAHM business blogging:

1. Your blog layout or theme must show PROFESSIONALISM.  I would recommend you to build a blog from WordPress.org. With so many plugins available, you can optimize your blog.
2. You need to join social media sites and try to use their applications to broadcast your blog to social media sites.
3. You need to build authority links to your blog such as writing articles to articles directory such Ezine Articles.
4. You can leave comments in other blogs to interact with  other bloggers or to get your blog noticeable by others.  Please look for blogs within your industry or your niche. Look for popular blogs and blogs that use DOFOLLOW plugin so your blog will get backlinks.

The tips above will benefit your blog in search engine optimization (SEO). As a WAHM business owner, you need to learn basic SEO.  Target on certain keywords when you write your blog. If you have a great blog theme, good content in your blog,  use SEO writing and update  your blog regularly, your blog will certainly bring traffic to your WAHM business.
