Once your toddler starts speaking few words, encourage her to talk. Here are some ideas to help your child to talk.
- Engage your child in two ways simple conversation, talk to her and expect an answer/response from your child.
- Sing lots of silly songs. Songs with movements are favourites at this age.
- Read everyday.Repetition of her favorite story books and nursery rhymes can give her an even better understanding of the common patterns of spoken language.
