Jane Seymour is a name I haven’t seen for a while! Actually she still looks stunning. Anyway, she raises some very valid points about limiting the amount of TV to be watched. I would also add the internet to her list as I feel many kids are growing up and hiding behind email and Facebook.

Well, I’m glad to see that I’m not the only mother who likes to turn off “media” on school days! My kids think I’m a “mean mom” for not allowing computers and television on school nights…and I’m limiting it during summer vacation, too and “forcing” them to go outside and play. Thanks for the post!

Thanks for stopping by Michelle. I agree with you. Watching TV is a leisure passive activity. I limited watching TV on weekends only.

I have recently limited the TV time with my 5 children. It allows them more time to read and for more imaginative play. I can see a big difference already.

I totally agree with no television, video games or computer games during weekday. Some people just leave their kids in front of the TV, without realizing that it could damage their communication skills, attention and motivation. So good for Jane Seymour for understanding and promoting all that.
