Have you lost the passion of your life? The routine life can kill your passion and most of us are not brave enough to break this life cycle. We just go with the flow and don’t put much thoughts about it.  Life is too fast and food is served fast to nourish our body. We prefer to find a quick solution COPY and PASTE to our problem. There is a point in our life which we seem to have everything and we feel dull in our life. Elizabeth Gilbert in her book EAT PRAY LOVE told her true story. The story is about one woman quest for getting back a passion of her life. She is a woman who left everything behind and pursued her own passion by traveling a full year in 3 different countries: Italy, Indonesia and India. She is a woman who spoke her mind and wrote a journal during traveling. Her quotes in EAT PRAY LOVE book and movie are beautiful and well received by women. We, women, can relate her dilemma with ours.

I have watched Toy Story 1 and 2 and I think that Toy Story 3 movie  is not as funny as the previous series. Life was not always rosy for Toy story Round-Up Gang when the owner, Andy was grown-up and ready to move on to College life.  Woody and his roundup gang had to think a backup plan if they wanted to remain as play toys for children.   Their decision to stay at daycare was a nightmare and their fate was ruled by the heartless Lotso, a bear with sweet strawberry smell. Woody led the roundup gang for an escape and they made their way back to Andy’s house. With a brilliant idea, Woody left a note for Andy and he suggested toys giveaway to the little girl who would care for toys. Woody and the gang finally found a caring and loving owner, a happy ending for them. What lesson do you learn after watching Toy Story 3? There are friends and foes in a real life but we have to keep making friends. Making friends improves our social skill.

Posted By: vie on April 11, 2010 at 6:48 pm

I decided to feature Dr. Selina Chew, Ph.D because she is a gifted  career mom of 2 young boys. She has developed a deep interest in mind-body therapies since she was young. She choose her career path as a certified hypnotherapist  because of her love for mind-body therapies.  When I asked her the reason she chose her career as a hypnotherapist.  She said,  “Well, I don’t think of it as a job. It’s more like a passion – a very fulfilling one, that is.”

Interview with Fida Abbott – Enthusiasm

Posted By: vie on April 11, 2010 at 5:47 pm

What factor plays an important role in your success to pursue your dream? A short answer: ENTHUSIASM.

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

This quote captured my attention when I visited Fida’s blog. I have an opportunity to do an e-mail interview  with Fida Abbott, a published author in United State who wrote a novel book titled  ENTHUSIASM.  Let’s find out from the interview why she choose a career as  a published author,  how enthusiasm can play an important role in  her life, what readers can learn from her novel book and much more.

As February is the month of love, I am talking about love and relationship. I mostly talk about a happy relationship. But, I may forget one thing that there are moms out there with unhappy relationship.  Moms  from a happy family usually trust people and I could feel from their tone. Moms with a bitter relationship distrusted people and they had a bitter tone. I wish that I could be a super hero mom to give counseling but I may not have the experiences.

Set Your New Year Resolutions for 2010

Posted By: vie on December 31, 2009 at 11:07 am

I think kids and students are tougher than adults. Wanna see a proof? Every year, they take up new academic challenges and some of them take up enrichment activities after school hours. Parents also put more pressure with the expectation of their kids’ academic results.  Wow…it sounds very hard. But look at them, they still can laugh and enjoy their life.  How about you, moms? Are you ready to take up new challenges? Here is a good quote to welcome New Year 2010:

We will open the book.  Its pages are blank.  We are going to put words on them ourselves.  The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.  ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Make Your Dream Come True with Personal Goal Setting

Posted By: vie on October 20, 2009 at 8:14 am

We all have a dream. I see that a dream is a long-term goal. If our dream is Financial Freedom, there will be many ways to achieve it and it is a long term goal. We need to break it into small personal goal setting and make it realistic. Taking small steps day by day and working on one goal will make it more feasible.  It is never too late to pursue our dream even we’re no longer young. Of course, being young is an advantage but being old means we are more mature. Read More »
