Have you lost the passion of your life? The routine life can kill your passion and most of us are not brave enough to break this life cycle. We just go with the flow and don’t put much thoughts about it.  Life is too fast and food is served fast to nourish our body. We prefer to find a quick solution COPY and PASTE to our problem. There is a point in our life which we seem to have everything and we feel dull in our life. Elizabeth Gilbert in her book EAT PRAY LOVE told her true story. The story is about one woman quest for getting back a passion of her life. She is a woman who left everything behind and pursued her own passion by traveling a full year in 3 different countries: Italy, Indonesia and India. She is a woman who spoke her mind and wrote a journal during traveling. Her quotes in EAT PRAY LOVE book and movie are beautiful and well received by women. We, women, can relate her dilemma with ours.

Below are some of her quotes that I like and I can relate them to my own life.

There is so much about my fate that I cannot control, but other things do fall under the jurisdiction. I can decide how I spend my time, whom I interact with, whom I share my body and life and money and energy with. I can select what I can read and eat and study. I can choose how I’m going to regard unfortunate circumstances in my life-whether I will see them as curses or opportunities. I can choose my words and the tone of voice in which I speak to others. And most of all, I can choose my thoughts.

What she said about fate is true. We have full control for our life and particularly our thoughts. Be careful with our thoughts, they can dictate how our life should be. Be blessed for women who can write their thoughts well.

Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it…

What we do in our life have consequences in our happiness and success in life. We have to strive to pursue our happiness and success in life. Only we can initiate changes. We must push ourselves wholeheartedly if we really want to change.

It’s better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else life with perfection.

Often, we look up to someone’s life who seems perfect, happy and successful. We copy and paste theirs into our life. Their life isn’t our life. We have to find our own destiny though it may look imperfect.

Though many women try to follow Elizabeth’s trail in finding her own destiny and happiness in these 3 countries and most of us can not afford the luxury of traveling due to our responsibilities as a mom. You can rejuvenate your life, change the way you do, set a new goal, view things differently. Happiness and success in Life don’t happen overnight, it is an accumulation of your efforts everyday. It is not too late to be reborn for A NEW YOU even you are a mom. I still believe we deserve a second chance to pursue our happiness and our success in life.

I have watched Toy Story 1 and 2 and I think that Toy Story 3 movie  is not as funny as the previous series. Life was not always rosy for Toy story Round-Up Gang when the owner, Andy was grown-up and ready to move on to College life.  Woody and his roundup gang had to think a backup plan if they wanted to remain as play toys for children.   Their decision to stay at daycare was a nightmare and their fate was ruled by the heartless Lotso, a bear with sweet strawberry smell. Woody led the roundup gang for an escape and they made their way back to Andy’s house. With a brilliant idea, Woody left a note for Andy and he suggested toys giveaway to the little girl who would care for toys. Woody and the gang finally found a caring and loving owner, a happy ending for them. What lesson do you learn after watching Toy Story 3? There are friends and foes in a real life but we have to keep making friends. Making friends improves our social skill.

Do you think that adults are better in making friends? Children are more spontaneous. They can make friends easily.  Parents  only need to guide them with some courtesy and let them answer if someone asks questions to them, no need to answer for them. Your children will also observe and take clues from you, how you approach strangers and how you converse with your friends. Let them make friends to learn social skills. They will find good friend, best friend or BFF (best friend forever) for the one with the same interests and hobbies. They will learn that there are good friends like Woody The Leader, Buzz Light Year The Rescuer, Jessie The Faithful Friend or even  a foe like Lotso The Heartless Sweet Talker. This is a life lesson for them.

In real life, we meet with all kinds of people.  We need to learn basic social skills to make friends especially if we are in business. Marketing is all about people, we need to understand people if we want to succeed. If you have WAHM business or online home based business, you must use your social skill to promote your business online via social media sites such as facebook and twitter.  I found myself awkward when I started facebook to promote my  WAHM business to strangers. I learned internet marketing skill and social media skill from Professional Lead System and Magnetic Sponsoring. I put into practice what I learned and I found myself to express words  more easily on social media sites. Practice makes perfect and I find new true friends along the way. Don’t be disheartened if you meet someone like Lotso or your old friends distanced you. Look for like-minded friends instead. Life is not always rosy but experiences will bring maturity and greater height for your WAHM business. I also have a similar Roundup Gang like Woody. I found that having a team such as  Million Dollar Mom will give an encouragement because we work for the same goal.

Father’s roles are not just seen as a main provider in the family and a chief of the family. Fathers also play a role in children upbringing. These are 5 father’s roles in a family that I see in my late father and my husband. They are good fathers and impart positive parenting in a family.

1. A Father is  a superhero or a Protector. Kids feel safe and always look for their fathers when they need protection.
2. A Father is Handy Manny Man. A father knows how to fix things around the house.
3. A Father is a Disciplinarian. A Father usually rules the house with his authority. He will set rules and regulations and he plays role in discpline their kids.
4. A Father is a Role Model. Kids observe parents. A successful father will encourage their children to follow their steps to be successful in life. Therefore, a father must give the best examples, empowerment and encouragement for his kids. Fathers with positive characters will reinforce good characters in their children. Father teaches kids better in terms of  independency, assertiveness, strength and achievement. Kids will likely succeed at school if their father involve themselves and guide them in their study.
5. A Father is a Friend. Fathers are normally good at physical activities. They are the first coach for their kids to learn riding a bicycle or to learn a game or sport activity. Kids look forward to play with their fathers for boardgames and physical exercises.

A son will learn from his father how to be a man and a daughter will learn from her father how to relate with a man and her male peers.  Let’s appreciate our husband and our own father for their positive parenting contribution on this Father’s day.
